ASC’s Children Program: 4 Sundays February 25-May 20, 2018
ASC's Children's Program
Austin Shamanic Center is now offering children the opportunity to embark on a fun, creative, spiritual learning experience. Shamanic, or animistic teachings, yoga, meditation, art, music and games will be interwoven throughout each event. Because the shamanic path is about finding your spiritual self through experience we use many modalities to engage the children. Our goal is for participants to gain practical tools by building connections with the self, others and the natural world while having fun! At this time, sessions are designed for school-aged children and teens. Amanda Nitschke teaches this program.
Becoming an EarthKeeper
In these 4 classes, participants will learn how to create and explore sacred space by aligning themselves with animal archetypes, the earth and heavens. Shamanic teachings, yoga, meditation, art, music and games will be interwoven throughout as they slither in the skin of Sachamama, prowl like Otorongo (Jaguar), flitter like Siwar Q’enti (Hummingbird) and spread their wings like Apuchin (Condor). Participants will receive the Earthkeepers' Rite, one of the Nine Rites gifted to us by the Q’ero Indians of Peru, and build a mini-mesa. Attendance in all sessions is highly recommended, as the classes build upon each other.
